Mink lashes are a special kind of lashes that also give you an exceptional and invincible look. As they are high-quality lashes, and thus if you take care of them, you will be able to use them 25 times.
Even though it may seem that these mere accessories do not need care. But the way these get made, to have a competitive existence in the market, you should take care of them.
Mink lashes have a royal curl in them, and if you want to wash them and reuse them, then you should learn to maintain them.
7 Steps to Clean Your Mink Lashes
Step 1 Make sure to wash your hands with a paraben and fragrance-free soap or hand wash
First, make sure to wash your hands with a paraben and fragrance-free soap or hand wash. Using a Q-tip, try removing any residual makeup that might be present in your lashes or eyes.
You may dab your Q-tip in cleanser or water, but the cleanser must be harm-free for the material of the mink lash. This will help make the lash glue off the lash a little loose.
Make sure to soak it for a few seconds.
Step 2 Hold one corner of the lash, and pull the strip off.
As the glue gets loose, the false lash will be much easier to take off of your eyes. But do not pull with aggression. Hold one corner of the lash, and pull the strip off.
Do not pull the hair, as the mink lash might start to fall off the strip. You also might harm your natural lashes.
Step 3 Place your eyelash on a curved surface
Then place your eyelash on a curved surface, best if it is your finger as your fingers will help keep the curl of the lash.
Step 4 Take a tweezer and pull off any residual glue from both the front and backside
Next, you should take a tweezer and pull off any residual glue from both the front and backside. If it is hard to do so with a tweezer, then continue with your fingernails.
It is important you remove the remaining glue, otherwise, it will become gunk. Your lashes will keep collecting dirt. That way, the reuse of the lashes will get thinner.
Step 5 You can instead use a wet Q-tip to clean the bottom well
This step is important. You have to be careful when you rinse your lash band. Because, the water is essential for the bottom of the mink lashes, not the tips.
Usually, mink lashes have a curled appearance. To keep that curl for longer, the water must not touch the tip or even the body except the bottom of the lashes.
To prevent the water from ruining your mink lashes, you can instead use a wet Q-tip to clean the bottom well. With a Q-tip, you will have control over how much water your mink lashes get.
Step 6 Put them on tissue paper so that the tissue itself soaks in the water.
Put them on tissue paper so that the tissue itself soaks in the water. No need to dab it dry as you will hamper the shape and might even tear off some fans.
Step 7 Place the lashes on the original lash tray
The last step is to place the lashes on the original lash tray. This will help keep the lashes held onto the shape. After they are clean, keep the box closed to prevent dust particles from gathering.
If by chance you ever drop your mink lashes on the floor or dirt, what can you do?
- In this case, wash the entire lash band, body, and tip. Try to understand that this lash sits on your eye and any residual dirt will harm it. Thus, do not apply the previous step in this, wash the mink lash.
- Next, by setting your blow dryer at a cooler temperature, blow over the lashes. But make sure that the tip of the lashes is facing downward while you blow the tip downwards.
- Then, store them in the original tray to help them catch on to the shape to help keep bacteria away.
Keep your mink lashes clean. Maintain them well to be able to reuse up to 25times.
